Rogers Cup Women’s Singles Final

Caroline Wozniacki vs Elina Svitolina

After a gruelling live betting week marred with some delay in schedule due to rain, we’re finally down to the last two in the Rogers Cup Toronto. And it can’t get any better than this as two Top 10 players vie it out for supremacy in Canadian soil.

Elina Svitolina will look to delight her online betting followers by winning her fifth title this season, but Caroline Wozniacki won’t make life easy for the Ukrainian as she tries to defy betting odds and grab her first title of the year.

Svitolina is certainly on a high right now after beating two Top 5 players on the same day. She came back from a set down to beat Garbine Muguruza in the quarterfinals and returned a few hours later to make easy work of defending champion Simona Halep.

The fifth-seeded star is playing with confidence, hitting winners and serving at a high rate, and she will undoubtedly build on the momentum she got to continue what has already been a breakout season for her.

Wozniacki, of course, isn’t someone without bite. After all, she is just a spot below Svitolina and is coming off a fantastic stretch during which she took down Agnieszka Radwanska and the top-seeded Karolina Pliskova.

Her return game and defence is also at their best, making her a formidable opponent for the hard-hitting Svitolina.

These two have met twice, with Svitolina winning both matches. Their latest battle was in this year’s Dubai Championships where the 22-year-old dominated in straight sets.

Indeed, it’s hard to bet against Svitolina considering her record and performance. Not to mention that Wozniacki has built a reputation for choking in the finals as she lost all of her five final appearances this year.

However, the Danish star should have the advantage given the rest she got as compared to her opponent who will battle wear and tear come their match.

I think this fight will go the distance, but I like the chances of Wozniacki winning on Money Line Odds @ 2.09.
