These Stars Won’t Show Love in the City of Romance!

Rolex Paris Masters

Rolex Paris Masters is called the “final battleground” for a reason; so despite the French Capital’s popularity as the city of love and romance, little of that will be seen from the top tennis players when they step on the courts of Bercy.

Besides winning the title of the prestigious live betting event, some of the game’s online betting stars will also look to get the last qualifying spots for the season-ending ATP Finals tournament in London.

The competition is the last chance for David Goffin (26.00), Pablo Carreno Busta (81.00), Sam Querrey (41.00), Kevin Anderson (26.00), Juan Martin del Potro (12.00) and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (13.00) to sway the betting odds and make a final charge for the prestigious event that pits against each other the eight highest-rated men’s player in the world.

Goffin had a deep run in Basel and would like his chances after back-to-back titles in Shenzhen and Japan. The same goes for Delpo and Tsonga, who are coming off some fantastic performances in the Swiss Indoors and Vienna Open, respectively.

Carreno Busta and Querrey, meanwhile, are currently in a poor form, failing to reach the quarterfinals of all the tournaments they joined since the US Open. Anderson also hasn’t had a good run yet, making only the last eight of the Stockholm Open out of four competitions he participated in since September.

Despite their slump, however, the fact that they are just a few hundred points to challenge for a place in the year-end battle should push them to play better.

It won’t be easy for these dreamers, though, as the top seeds won’t show love as well considering that they will look to get their games going before heading to London.

Rafael Nadal (2.00) remains the favourite, and he will surely aim for a strong showing to shrug off the rust after missing Basel this week due to injury. It should also motivate him that he has a chance to secure the World No.1 after Roger Federer withdrew from the tournament.

Alexander Zverev (11.00), Dominic Thiem (17.00), Marin Cilic (9.00) and Grigor Dimitrov (17.00) have already secured a place in the ATP finals, but they undoubtedly need a confidence booster to upset the favourites.

The likes of Lucas Pouille (21.00), John Isner (34.00), Roberto Bautista-Agut (34.00), Jack Sock (34.00), Richard Gasquet (51.00), Denis Shapovalov (67.00) and Kyle Edmund (81.00) could also pull off some surprises and should make the fight more interesting.
