Just two years ago, Johanna Konta wasn’t even able to qualify for the Miami Open. Fast forward to today, she is now the first British woman to win a title at Key Biscayne.

The statistics painted a better picture of the game as Konta finished with 33 winners, a figure far from the eight winners that the 12th-seeded Wozniacki hit in the game.
“She’s very aggressive. She takes the ball early and stresses the opponent,” Wozniacki said.
With the victory, Konta will now rise to her career-best position of World No.7. Meanwhile, Wozniacki suffered her third finals defeat this 2017 after also failing to complete the job in the Dubai Championship and Qatar Open.
