Peru vs Paraguay
This battle might just be a friendly, but with both teams tied on points in the South America World Cup Qualifiers, don’t expect them to hold back in what could be a thriller for online betting.
Of course the primary objectives for Peru and Paraguay are to keep their players fit for the qualifying football games in August and look for other ways to improve; however, the two teams know how important it is to get a win against a fierce competitor with the same goal.
The Peruvians are the pre-match favourites to win – with betting odds tipping them on 1X2 @ 1.83 while the Paraguayans are at 4.10 – and for a good reason.

To add more to their confidence, they recently climbed the FIFA rankings from 17th to 15th, leaping over the likes of Uruguay and Mexico.
La Albirroja, on the other hand, suffered a different fate as they have only won once in five in all competitions, having conceded eight goals in the last two.
Sure enough, this isn’t a good thing for the visitors as Peru boss Ricardo Gareca will have his lineup complete, including prolific strikers Edison Flores and Paolo Guerrero who are both capable of scoring freely against the weak Paraguayan defence.
Nevertheless, if there is any silver lining for manager Francisco “Chiqui” Arce and his men, it is the fact that they will be boosted by the return of Angel Romero, Jorge Moreira, Gatito Fernandez and Miguel Almiron.
The most significant addition for them, perhaps, is Almiron who has been on a tear in MLS recently. The 23-year-old attacker has scored five goals for Atlanta United in their last three, and he should be able to continue his scoring streak as he is likely to fill in for the absent Federico Santander.
Sure enough, both Gareca and Arce will do some experimenting on their lineups as what any coach would do in a friendly; though that certainly won’t lessen the competitiveness of this match expected to end with goals galore.
