More live betting fun awaits in the top flight!

It’s Matchday 27 in the Bundesliga and while the top teams are competing for a podium finish, the bottom squads are all fighting to win the battle against relegation.

Indeed, there’s plenty of drama waiting in the German top flight, and betting tips point to more action-packed football games as the season enters its final stretch.

WEEK 27 WEDNESDAY:

Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich

Now third on the table with just two defeats, there’s no denying that Hoffenheim are capable of stopping the Bavarians’ incredible run. They have done it once earlier in the season, and there’s no stopping them from doing it again. However, Julian Nagelsmann’s outfit have to be weary of 24-goal man Robert Lewandowski who bagged his second hat-trick in a span of five matches.

It’s risky to bet against the reigning champs at this point of the season, but the defence-first Hoffenheim with a +1.00 handicap at 1.97 is worth considering.

Koln vs Eintracht Frankfurt

This fixture will have serious effects in both teams’ quest for European qualification. Koln and Frankfurt are currently at sixth and seventh but tied on points, so a win here will see one of them get the upper hand. Frankfurt’s chances, nonetheless, aren’t looking good as they remain winless in seven – three losses of which came on the road.

Werder Bremen vs Schalke 04

Brimming with confidence after their five-goal demolition of Freiburg, Bremen will look to ride on the momentum they got in their six-game unbeaten run to get their revenge on Schalke. It couldn’t come at a better time for the River Islanders though as the Royal Blues struggle for consistency while they are in a rich vein of form behind hat-trick hero Thomas Delaney.

Borussia Dortmund vs Hamburger SV

After sharing the spoils (and the bragging rights) with Schalke in the Revierderby, Dortmund will now aim to get some much-needed points to get back in the top three for an automatic Champions League qualification. It won’t be easy with Hamburg finding their mojo on both ends of the pitch, but I think BVB’s depth and quality will spell the difference here.

WEEK 27 THURSDAY:

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Hertha BSC

When looking at the standings, it’s easy to put the smart money on the Capital club. But their recent displays away say otherwise. The Berliners haven’t won a competitive game outside the Olympiastadion Berlin this year, so the Foals are likely to use this to their advantage and rally the home crowd behind them to end their winless slump.

Things aren’t encouraging for Hertha, so Gladbach should be able to breeze through a -0.50 handicap that pays at 1.83.

Wolfsburg vs Freiburg

With Super Mario Gomez in great form following their biggest comeback of the season, the Wolves are indeed dangerous opponents to face now. Unfortunately for Freiburg, they have to find a way to stop the bouncing Wolfsburg with their confidence at rock-bottom after the 5-2 drubbing they received from Bremen. Surely, their journey couldn’t get any worse.

Wolfsburg on Asian Handicap -0.75 at 2.07 is the obvious punt to make.

Augsburg vs Ingolstadt

If 17th-placed Ingolstadt can play with the same grit and aggressiveness that they showed in their victory over Mainz, it’s not farfetched for them to string another win against co-bottom feeder Augsburg. Of course, Maik Walpurgis has a lot to address on his team’s defence, but it should benefit them that Augsburg have only scored once in their last three matches – though that was when they were at home.

Mainz 05 vs RB Leipzig

Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg wasn’t satisfied with only one goal against Darmstadt, so he should be motivated to score more this time with their leading scorer Timo Werner remaining doubtful to play. The O-Fives will certainly exploit the absence of Werner, though as what we have seen in their latest win, the Bulls still have Naby Keita ready to pounce on every opportunity.

Darmstadt 98 vs Bayer Leverkusen

Indeed, Darmstadt have little chance of survival with only 15 points to their name from 26 matches. Although they should find some solace from the fact that they pushed Bayer to their limits when they met last November, Tayfun Korkut’s side is still the better team, at least in terms of attacking quality.
