With just one point separating them at the top of the table, Napoli and Juventus can’t afford to drop points. However, they will be tested once again when they play their Week 24 football games in the Serie A.
Sure enough, betting odds still favour them, but make no mistake; Fiorentina and Lazio are no walk in the park as they are more than capable of surprising the online gambling community.
WEEK 24 SATURDAY:
Fiorentina vs Juventus
After winning seven straight games, the Bianconeri don’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. Fiorentina, nonetheless, pose a tough challenge for them considering that their last four battles saw Juve win by just one goal, the latest ending by a 1-0 scoreline. I think this will be close again, but choosing Juve Asian Handicap -0.50 @ 1.92 still looks a good move.
SPAL vs AC Milan
Deep in relegation trouble, SPAL need a win now more than ever. A run of six without victory won’t put their hopes up though, especially against a Milan outfit that went unbeaten in their past five league outings.
WEEK 24 SUNDAY:
Crotone vs Atalanta
Both teams are on a good run of form lately, but Atalanta will fancy their chances more given their record against 17th-placed Crotone. The visitors thrashed Crotone 5-1 in their previous fight, and that’s unlikely to change this time with Josip Ilicic and Bryan Cristante playing consistently.
Napoli vs Lazio
This top-of-the-table battle between no.1 Napoli and no.3 Lazio is expected to be a high-scoring affair. The Partenopei are the favourites, but it should be noted that Lazio are on a tear offensively and have already scored a whopping 15 Serie A goals this 2018 behind Ciro Immobile, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto. With that said, I suggest betting on Goals Over 3.00 @ 2.06.
Sassuolo vs Cagliari
Sassuolo won their first tie with Cagliari this season, but the visitors look to be in a better position to take all three points right now. After all, morale is low in Sassuolo after the team suffered a humiliating 7-0 thrashing to reigning champions Juventus.
Sampdoria vs Hellas Verona
Sampdoria’s chase for a top-five finish continues, and they have a chance to close the gap to Roma and Inter when they host a struggling Verona side. The Yellow and Blues really have nothing to boast, particularly on the offensive end as they bagged only two goals in a span of six games.
Inter Milan vs Bologna
It’s good not to lose, but it’s bad not to win either. Inter are currently on a run of five successive draws (and eight without a win), so they will hope to end that skid against Bologna. Unfortunately, Luciano Spalletti’s men also drew their first matchup with the visitors this season! So how about a bet on Draw @ 1.95?
Chievo vs Genoa
Fresh from their 2-1 upset of Lazio, Genoa head into this affair in high spirits. It should give them more confidence that they’ll be facing Chievo who remain winless since November and seem on their way to the relegation battle.
Torino vs Udinese
Torino and Udinese are tied in the standings, so this match will be the decider to break the deadlock. Fans shouldn’t hope for a repeat of their five-goal thriller though, with Torino appearing to be more locked-in defensively after keeping three clean sheets in a six-game unbeaten stretch.
WEEK 24 MONDAY:
AS Roma vs Benevento
Benevento are already destined for a quick return to the Serie B; and with their poor away form, they aren’t expected to put up much of a fight against Roma. The capital club will certainly take this chance to boost their hopes of cracking into the top three following an ugly skid that saw them win just once in seven.
