And so onto the biggest one of all this week for me, with a respectful nod to Atletico Madrid versus Chelsea.
Paris St Germain underlined their intentions with a summer spending spree and then inflicted Celtic’s heaviest ever European home defeat to show why they are being tipped by many as genuine contenders for the trophy.
Bayern Munich are too, even though they travel to Paris after slipping up in the Bundesliga at the weekend when they were pegged back by Wolfsburg.
For me, it’s more important for both clubs to make sure they don’t lose this Group B encounter, and I don’t think either will.
