Girona vs (4-2 on agg.) Real Madrid
It’s either this game or the Barcelona-Sevilla match that will make the loudest Copa del Rey 2019 news.
Real Madrid fans have been taken for quite a ride this season. Their team has disappointed them multiple times throughout the year, and Santiago Solari is far from being the permanent touchline solution to the dip Los Blancos have been going through in their first post-Ronaldo season.
However, their most recent results saw them fly up the league table as they begin looking more like their old selves again. Of course, some of their wins have been far from clean. For example, they allowed Getafe to get two away goals on them in the first leg of their Copa tie.
They must outscore the Gironistes at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi if they want to secure their semi-finals berth. And that is something I think Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and the rest of Real Madrid can manage.
