In their past 12 matches in the Champions League, Manchester United have only won two times, one in the 1999 final and a knockout match back in 2009-10. Even though Bayern historically have United’s number in the Champions League, United have done a good job protecting their home turf, allowing just one Bayern win out of the five times the Bavarians visited Old Trafford.
In recent form in the tournament, the Red Devils failed to consistently produce favourable Champions League 2023 results, as they’ve won just one match in this season’s campaign.
