VFL Wolfsburg vs Bayern Munich
Well, it’s seemed pretty much inevitable since the resumption of football in Germany that Bayern would win an eighth league title on the bounce.
They did; they did it in style and now Die Bayern will aim to finish with a bang in Wolfsburg. Bundesliga: Wolfsburg vs FC Bayern will conclude the season, and it’s a clash of two teams who can be very pleased with their form since the return of football in May.
Bayern have won every game, while Oliver Glasner’s Wolfsburg have done enough to qualify for the 2020/21 Europa League with wins over Augsburg, Werder Bremen and Schalke, as well as one time title hopefuls Bayer Leverkusen. Die Wolfe won’t be sitting back in this game though, as they probably need a positive result to stay ahead of 7th placed Hoffenheim and keep hold of a favourable tie in the Europa League qualifiers.
As Hansi Flick’s Champions sign off at the Wolfsburg, their hosts will attempt to be the first side to take points off them since February, when Bayern were held to a goalless draw by RB Leipzig.

Home is little comfort for the Wolves
Wolfsburg have been stronger away from home than on their own patch this season and come into this game on the back of a thumping 1-4 win away to Schalke. But they haven’t won any of their last five games at the Volkswagen Arena. Their away form has carried them through to a Europa place.
Giant striker Wout Weghorst scored twice against Schalke to make it 16 for the season and rise to fourth in the Bundesliga top scorers chart, behind only Robert Lewandowski, Timo Werner and Jadon Sancho… some list! At 6ft 6in, the big Dutch hitman is a beast to play against and he’ll let the Bayern defence know they’re in for a game, that’s for sure.
Max Arnold has been die Wolfe’s most creative player this term with four goals and eight assists, while 25-year-old defender Kevin Mbabu has had an encouraging debut season since his transfer from Young Boys. He scored Wolfsburg’s third at Schalke and that was his third goal of the season, and his cultured style with sound reading of the game has won him eight caps for Switzerland, a nation known for its high calibre of defenders.
Bayern’s European momentum
The Bundesliga title has been in the bag for a couple of weeks now and Bayern have been mightily impressive since the return. Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen all had hopes of winning the title but Die Bayern have simply clicked through the gears and eased away, and are now strongly fancied to challenge for this season’s Champions League.

In the German league they have been totally dominant since the half way point, Robert Lewandowski has hit an incredible 33 goals and they’ll be aiming for a fast finish.

The visitors have won their last nine away games; put that record alongside Wolfsburg’s bleak run at home and it’s hard to argue against a Bayern win.

Wolfsburg are at 3.90 to win and the draw is at 3.80, and the double chance of Wolfsburg or Draw is available at 1.91, but I really can’t see the Champions easing up now.
