Brilliant Comebacks are the Best for Football Betting!

Atalanta 2-2 Juventus

Juventus dropped their first points of the season and missed their chance to join Napoli at the top of the Serie A table, no thanks to a determined Atalanta side who fought back from two goals down to shock the online betting favourites.

The Bianconeri had the betting odds on their side against Gian Piero Gasperini’s men that have only two wins to boast. However, despite a hot start that saw Federico Bernardeschi and Gonzalo Higuain put them in front in less than 25 minutes, the Old Lady weren’t able to hold on to their advantage and had to share the spoils.

Mattia Caldara and Bryan Cristante were on target in both intervals to lead the hosts and secure their third stalemate of the season.

Juve, though, could have won it in the second half, but Mario Mandzukic’s header was disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee and Paulo Dybala’s penalty kick saved by Atalanta keeper Etrit Berisha.

The draw put Juventus in second, two points behind leaders Napoli, who beat Cagliari earlier at Stadio San Paolo 3-0.

Meanwhile, talking about comebacks, new boys Hellas Verona played a fantastic game as they draw with Torino 2-2, thanks to a late barrage that saw them score two goals in the last five minutes – including a Giampaolo Pazzini spot kick in added time.

Chievo also trailed Fiorentina at first in their meeting at Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi, but Lucas Castro sparked the hosts with a double to win 2-1.

Elsewhere, Maxi Lopez hit a double against Sampdoria to pull Udinese further away from the relegation spots, while both Luis Alberto and Marco Parolo bagged a brace to lead Lazio‘s 6-1 thrashing of Sassuolo.

The two Milan sides, on the other hand, had different fates, as Inter kept Benevento winless while AC Milan suffered a frustrating defeat to Roma.

Bologna also got the win against struggling Genoa; and SPAL and Crotone played out a 1-1 stalemate.

The league now heads into another international break, giving teams almost two weeks to recuperate before returning to action.
