Upsets in the NBA are always thrilling to watch!

Who doesn’t like seeing the underdogs upset the favourites from time to time?

NBA enthusiasts who bet online on the little guys with Asian Handicap betting are surely jumping for joy right now as the lower-seeded teams pull off some surprises against higher-ranked squads.

Besides the dominating win by Minnesota, there are also the thrillers in New York and Toronto that undoubtedly caused celebration on online gambling circles.

Chicago Bulls 89-117 Minnesota Timberwolves

Playing without their injured top-scorers Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade, the Bulls unsurprisingly received a beating from the young Wolves. Chicago never really got it going on the offence as their starting unit got outscored by just Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns who combined for 49 points.

The Bulls also didn’t pose much of a threat on the glass, with Minnesota controlling the rebound 46-35.

San Antonio Spurs 90-94 New York Knicks

If this is Carmelo Anthony’s last game as a Knick in Madison Square Garden, he sure knows how to make a statement. The oft-criticised forward – who has been in the trade rumour mill for some time now – led New York with a 25-point outburst on a 42.9 field goal percentage. He also made seven points in the last two-and-half minutes of play to fuel the Knicks’ final run.

Moreover, defence played a huge role for the Knickerbockers as they were able to limit the Spurs to just 36.3 percent from the field and 20.7 percent (on 6-of-29 shooting) from three.

Detroit Pistons 102-101 Toronto Raptors

Toronto led by 16 points at the end of the third quarter, but a 36-19 fourth-quarter rally capped by a Kentavious Caldwell-Pope three with 13 seconds remaining gave Detroit the biggest stunner of the day.

Caldwell-Pope finished the match as the team’s second highest scorer with 21 points, behind Tobias Harris who tallied 24 points on an efficient 9-of-13 shooting.

DeMar DeRozan, meanwhile, had 26 points for the Raps; however, he missed the crucial turnaround jumper in the dying seconds that could have given them the victory.

New Orleans Pelicans 99-105 Sacramento Kings

With 32 points and 10 rebounds, Anthony Davis was the only bright spot for New Orleans who have now lost seven of their last ten games. The Pelicans were leading at the end of the first half – even having a 13-point advantage in one part – but the Kings found their rhythm in the second half and steadily took the lead.

DeMarcus Cousins powered Sacramento with 28 markers and 14 boards as four other Kings scored in double figures.
