Sure, Houston’s James Harden exploded for 43 points in this closely contested affair, but he lacked his usual efficiency from beyond the arc as the whole team just shot 30.8 percent, making only 12 of their 39 attempts.
San Antonio, meanwhile, banked on a balanced offence to get their revenge against the team that blew them out in their first game at home. Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge both recorded 26 points, while Patty Mills did well with 15 to fill in for the injured Tony Parker.
The Spurs will need to improve their ball handling though as the Rockets made 12 steals that pushed them to commit 20 turnovers.
