How Will This Tense Eastern Battle Finish?

countdown banner

This is an important time for several teams in the Eastern Conference and the live betting fans that follow the NBA.

The Detroit Pistons are only a loss away from spending another summer away from NBA action, and the betting odds aren’t stacked in their favour.  They face a seemingly insurmountable challenge in the Philadelphia 76ers while their most important star — Blake Griffin — is injured.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors square off for dominance in the East. You can expect free bets to flow for this game.

There’s a lot of NBA action to catch, so let’s not dally any further!

Philadelphia 76ers @ Detroit Pistons (April 5, 8:00 GMT +8)

The Pistons are lucky that Joel Embiid is out until the start of the playoffs, meaning that they a slightly better chance at upsetting the Sixers even without their star forward.

Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson have the unenviable task of stopping Ben Simmons and Dario Saric from scoring while making sure that they score themselves. Fortunately, they are a strong team at the Little Caesars Arena, making odds better for them.

This game could go either way, and I think the Pistons will be somehow able to cling on for a win. Detroit +1.00 @ 1.97 is a worthwhile punt to make.

Dallas Mavericks @ Orlando Magic (April 5, 8:00 GMT +8)

Both of these franchises are out of playoff contention long ago, so this game is a great opportunity for both teams to experiment on their rotations.

With Dennis Smith out with a knock on his knee, Rick Carlisle will be able to give some of his other players such as Kyle Collinsworth and Yogi Ferrell more minutes on the floor. Meanwhile, the Magic will also no qualms fielding players such as Jamel Artis and Rodney Purvis due to their own injury woes.

Miami Heat @ Atlanta Hawks (April 5, 8:30 GMT +8)

The Heat are battling for better placements in the Eastern Conference, and the Hawks should be able to provide them with a cushion to keep the Washington Wizards at bay. With Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside playing good basketball, it shouldn’t be hard to put your money on Miami -8.50 @ 1.98.

Boston Celtics @ Toronto Raptors (April 5, 9:00 GMT +8)

The C’s will be playing without Kyrie Irving and Marcus Smart, leaving Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum to contain the current Conference leaders. While Toronto handily lost to the Cavaliers, I don’t think they will buckle against this half-strength Celtics squad.

Memphis Grizzlies @ New Orleans Pelicans (April 5, 9:00 GMT +8)

Anthony Davis should have no problem in containing the Memphis Grizzlies. While Dillon Brooks is playing some fantastic basketball for these Grizzlies, I don’t think he can force a win away from the FedExForum. The Pelicans should win at home, making New Orleans -13.00 @ 1.90 a good option.

San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Lakers (April 5, 11:30 GMT +8)

the Spurs narrowly lost to the Clippers, but I don’t think they’ll suffer a similar fate to the Lakers as well. The lack of roster quality for the Lakers are evident, and the reliable tactics of Gregg Popovich should not fail the Spurs.
