There are now two things that NBA’s online betting fans look forward to nowadays: the daily sprees of top basketball played by the world’s best players, as well as the upcoming All-Star Weekend in New Orleans.
Some of the All-Stars will be playing tomorrow, adding to the already-heightening expectations for the All-Star Game. Expect betting odds on games involving these players to provide interesting risks and returns.
New Orleans Pelicans @ Toronto Raptors (February 1, 8:00 GMT+8)
This game boasts three All-Stars in Anthony Davis, Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. However, both teams have been struggling to find consistency lately, despite their stars leading the show. Toronto has the definite advantage simply by the merit of their superstars, but The Brow and the Pelicans can duke it out with the best of them.
New York Knicks @ Washington Wizards (February 1, 8:00 GMT+8)
After a quiet start to the season, John Wall and the Wizards have blossomed into an exciting offensive team under Scott Brook’s tutelage. The Wizards are enjoying a good run so far, enjoying wins against strong teams like Boston and Atlanta.
Meanwhile, the Knicks are still trying to find the winning formula amidst all of the mediocrity and drama surrounding the club. With Carmelo Anthony probably going to ball-hog throughout the game, expect Washington’s fluid basketball to beat the Knicks fair and square at home. Punters can consider Washington -8.50 @ 2.04.
Sacramento Kings @ Houston Rockets (February 1, 9:00 GMT+8)
Sacramento fans can’t get their hopes that high when the Kings visit the Rockets. Even with DeMarcus Cousins’ sure 27 points and 10 rebounds, the roster is too bare to even compete against a Houston side that can’t stop scoring at home.
Oklahoma City Thunder @ San Antonio Spurs (February 1, 9:30 GMT+8)
This matchup is easily the biggest game tomorrow. This is the first time these two teams will meet, so the first win can mean well for their regular season series.
Oklahoma City will be coming into this game in a little better shape than the opposition, mainly due to the fact that San Antonio lost two winnable games in New Orleans and Dallas. However, Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge are still dominant players that can make Russell Westbrook overextend. This game will be fairly close, so Oklahoma City +9.00 @ 1.94 is worth considering.
Charlotte Hornets @ Portland Trail Blazers (February 1, 11:00 GMT+8)
Charlotte are definitely thrilled to have their first All-Star in Kemba Walker, while Damian Lillard’s latest snub in the All-Star Game is becoming a regular occurrence in the terrific guard’s NBA career. Dame will be going into this game with a chip on his shoulder and will want to make Charlotte suffer another loss.
Portland could win this easily and end the season series with a split, but Charlotte should be able to keep it close. Charlotte Hornets +3.50 @ 1.90 is a fine punt to consider.
Denver Nuggets @ Los Angeles Lakers (February 1, 11:30 GMT+8)
This is the only game on schedule tomorrow without an All-Star on either roster. It will feel weird for the Laker faithful to go into the All-Star weekend without one of their players making the star-studded roster.
This upcoming game will also become a lot more difficult for them if D’Angelo Russell joins Julius Randle on the disabled list due to an MCL problem. Without the two young stars, I don’t think the Purple and Gold have a chance against a decent Nuggets team.
