The Spurs outplayed the Grizzlies despite missing LaMarcus Aldridge due to rest. The veteran core of Pau Gasol, Patty Mills and Danny Green led the well-coached squad to an easy win with their scoring and overall contributions. Meanwhile, Pau’s brother Marc was the only bright spot in an otherwise lacklustre Grizzlies team.
Minnesota Timberwolves 114-123 Portland Trail Blazers
Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns did everything they could to keep the decent lead they got in the first half of this matchup. They surely missed Jimmy Butler’s scoring, defence and leadership when Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum lit up to mount a second-half reversal.
