NBA: Is the Lakers’ Roll Sustainable?

The Lakers are suddenly back at the top half of the Western Conference because they are on a four-game winning streak, making them one of the most in-form teams in the NBA. With a 26-18 record, the Purple and Gold are the fifth seed, and they will commence their three-game East road trip against the Sixers tomorrow. The NBA 2025 odds fancy the Lakers to beat the Sixers because of their superior record. However, they cannot take them lightly because their hosts are undefeated in their last two games.

Meanwhile, the Rockets, Jazz, and Bucks will go on the road to take on the Hawks, Warriors, and Blazers, respectively.

We only have four games tomorrow, but basketball fans should have their daily cravings of NBA 2025 highlights satisfied. Without further ado, SBOTOP previews the top three matches in the Association.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Philadelphia Sixers

The Lakers will meet the Sixers for the second time this season. Last November, Los Angeles beat Philadelphia with a score of 116-106.

The Purple and Gold have hit a purple patch (pun intended), winning six of their last seven games. During their four-game winning streak, the Lakers secured back-to-back blowout wins against the Wizards and Celtics and closer victories against the Warriors and Hornets.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James led the way against Charlotte last Monday. AD went off for 42 points, 23 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks on 17-for-28 shooting from the field and 8-for-10 shooting from the free throw line. James had 22 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists on 9-for-17 shooting from the field. Austin Reaves and Max Christie also scored 17 and 10 points.

After enduring a seven-game losing streak, the Sixers have won back-to-back games against the Cavaliers and the Bulls.

Against Chicago last Saturday, Tyrese Maxey dropped 31 points, five rebounds, nine assists, and five three-pointers on 12-for-23 shooting from the field and Kelly Oubre Jr. added 22 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists on 9-for-18 shooting from the field. They will continue to shoulder the load since Paul George and Joel Embiid are sidelined.

Betting tip – Los Angeles Lakers Asian Handicap -4.50 @ 2.02

Utah Jazz @ Golden State Warriors

Two teams at the bottom half of the Western Conference will face off, as the Warriors host the Jazz at Chase Center. Golden State have lost three of their last four, while Utah are losers of six straight, putting them at the bottom of the pile.

The Warriors had a long break following their loss against the Lakers last Saturday. They had seven players who scored double-digit points, but it wasn’t enough to beat their conference rivals. Andrew Wiggins led the team with 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists on 9-for-15 shooting from the field. Stephen Curry only had 13 points and nine assists since he went scoreless in the second half, going 4-for-17 shooting from the field, so he is due for a bounceback game.

The Jazz are coming off a 125-110 loss against the Bucks last Monday, as they couldn’t contain the star duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. On the bright side, they made the game more competitive than it should have and had six players in double-digit points.

Lauri Markkanen and Collin Sexton had 19 points each, while fellow starter Isaiah Collier added 12 points and eight assists. Brice Sensabaugh, Keyone George, and Jordan Clarkson recorded 17, 15, and 13 points, respectively.

John Collins (illness), Walker Kessler (shoulder), Johnny Juzang (hand), and Cody Williams (ankle) were all on the sidelines against Milwaukee. Utah are hoping they can play tomorrow.

Betting tip – Golden State Warriors Asian Handicap -11.00 @ 1.98

Milwaukee Bucks @ Portland Trail Blazers

The Bucks have claimed nine victories in their last 11 NBA games, driven by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s performances

Speaking of the Bucks, they have now won nine of their last 11 games. They had one of their most complete performances against the Jazz, as their three stars came to play.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard had 35 points each. Antetokounmpo also had 18 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals while going 16-for-23 shooting from the field. Lillard added five rebounds, eight assists, and four three-pointers on 14-for-22 shooting from the field. Khris Middleton notched a season-high 22 points on 10-for-13 shooting from the field and had three rebounds and three assists.

The Blazers had a four-game winning streak but lost against the Thunder 118-108 last Sunday. Deni Avdija and Toumani Camara combined for 52 points in the starting lineup. Scoot Henderson had 25 points, five rebounds, and five three-pointers on 7-for-17 shooting from the field off the bench.

Betting tip – Milwaukee Bucks Asian Handicap -6.00 @ 1.88
