NBA: Heat and Bucks Featured in Huge Eastern Conference Showdown

countdown banner

Two top Eastern Conference teams are set to clash once more as the Heat visit the Bucks over at Fiserv Forum tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Magic, Cavaliers, Sixers, Pelicans, Rockets, Nuggets, and Suns are scheduled to defend their homecourts against the Pacers, Hornets, Knicks, Kings, Jazz, Thunder, and Blazers respectively.

Learn more about tomorrow’s busy NBA schedule as SBOTOP gives you the latest NBA 2022 updates.

Indiana Pacers @ Orlando Magic

The Magic and the Pacers continue their mini-series over at the Amway Center tomorrow. When these two last met, Orlando came away with a 119-103 win.

The return of Markelle Fultz after a long injury layoff rejuvenated the Magic and he finished with 10 points and six assists, while Wendell Carter Jr. led with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield combined for 41 points, but their fellow starters must step up. The Pacers have now lost nine in their last 11 matches.

Charlotte Hornets @ Cleveland Cavaliers

The Hornets need a boost as they’ve lost 11 of their last 13 games. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have lost four of their last five.

Injuries have hurt the Cavs recently. Darius Garland, Rajon Rondo, and newly-acquired Caris LeVert all missed action and they are doubtful to play tomorrow.

Compared to Cleveland, Charlotte have a healthier guard rotation. LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier will spearhead their attack, while Isaiah Thomas might get a chance to play after signing his third 10-day contract of the season.

New York Knicks @ Philadelphia Sixers

The James Harden-Joel Embiid duo is off to a brisk start in the NBA

The James Harden-Joel Embiid duo is off to a brisk start. Philadelphia feasted in their last game at New York as both got to the free throw line more than they should.

The Sixers made 39 free throws, which is the most in the NBA thus far, so the Knicks’ defence is going to have their hands full once more.

New York, though, have a 2-1 season series lead over Philadelphia. However, the NBA 2022 odds are backing the hosts to draw level through another victory tomorrow.

Betting Tip: Philadelphia Sixers Asian Handicap -10.50 @ 1.83

Sacramento Kings @ New Orleans Pelicans

Sacramento and New Orleans both have their eyes set for a spot in the Western Conference play-in, making tomorrow’s game a must-win.

The Pelicans are fresh from a convincing win over the Lakers, which gave them a ton of confidence. Meanwhile, the Kings ended their losing skid recently with a high-scoring win over the Thunder.

The backcourt matchup is the one to watch out for as CJ McCollum and De’Aaron Fox have improved their numbers since the trade deadline. McCollum and Fox are averaging 29.0 and 26.8 points in their last five outings.

Betting Tip: New Orleans Pelicans Asian Handicap -4.50 @ 1.90

Miami Heat @ Milwaukee Bucks

The Heat are having one of their most challenging weeks of the season as they’re scheduled to face four Eastern Conference powerhouses that could stand in their way come playoff time.

Miami passed their first test when they defeated Chicago, and up next are the defending champions in Milwaukee.

The Heat will miss Kyle Lowry for the second straight game due to personal reasons, so Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo would have to take on more playmaking duties and they’ll be tasked to slow down the trio of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton.

The Bucks also have players who aren’t available, although they aren’t necessarily their key rotation players to begin with.

Utah Jazz @ Houston Rockets

The Jazz plan to strengthen their playoff position against the Rockets, who are currently on a league-worst 10-game losing streak.

They are coming off of a big road win over the league-leading Suns on Sunday, so their confidence is on a high.

Utah won 135-101 during their last meeting against Houston and we expect a similar outcome tomorrow.

Betting Tip: Utah Jazz Asian Handicap -12.50 @ 1.95

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Denver Nuggets

The Thunder are eager to end their drought against the Nuggets in the Mile High City. Oklahoma City have lost seven straight in Denver as they haven’t won a regular season game there since April 2017.

Look for Nikola Jokic to have a strong outing against the Thunder, especially after being held to only eight points last Monday. Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been on fire for OKC, scoring at least 32 points since his return from injury.

Portland Trail Blazers @ Phoenix Suns

Phoenix are on a rare two-game losing skid. The Suns have gone 1-2 since losing Chris Paul and it’ll take a substantial effort for Devin Booker to end their slide.

Portland, meanwhile, have fallen back to Earth after a strange four-game winning streak. They’ve failed to score at least 100 points in back-to-back games, which is a recipe for disaster against the defencively-astute Suns.
