Luka Doncic and the Mavericks are set to take on Paul George and Clippers in one game of tomorrow’s five-match slate in the NBA.
These two sides have established quite a rivalry in these past few years, so pleasantries are no longer needed when they square off once more in Dallas.
Meanwhile, Ja Morant and Zion Williamson will square off for the first time in 638 days, while the Jazz, Kings, and the Blazers will host the Knicks, Nets, and Spurs respectively.
Memphis Grizzlies @ New Orleans Pelicans
Two of the top overall picks in the 2019 NBA Draft are going head-to-head for the first time since February 2021, where the Pelicans won in a blowout.
Zion Williamson had 31 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in the said game. He boasts a 4-0 record against the Grizzlies, while Ja Morant started his career 0-5 against the Pelicans.
They are two of the most explosive players today and both have lived up to the hype thus far, but matchups between Williamson and Morant have been sparse since the former has missed the entire 2021-22 season due to a broken foot.
Williamson is listed as questionable according to the Pelicans’ injury report, but for sure he doesn’t want to miss another matchup against his good friend and fellow South Carolina native.
Morant didn’t play against Wizards yesterday but he will suit up. He’ll be joined by his co-star Jaren Jackson Jr., who is expected to make his season debut tomorrow.
Los Angeles Clippers @ Dallas Mavericks
It’s always fun when these two rivals get together, although the Clippers have had the better of the Mavericks in their previous two playoff meetings.
Luka Doncic has been scoring at will every time he takes on the Clippers. In their last two encounters, he recorded 96 total points in just a span of 48 hours.
But Doncic can’t do it all alone and he’ll need help from his teammates. Their x-factor is going to be Spencer Dinwiddie, who is averaging 27.3 points and 5.7 assists over these past three games.
As for the Clippers, they would need Paul George to be at his best since they’ll be without Kawhi Leonard again. Leonard is working on a comeback as soon as possible, but the Clippers have yet to give a timeline on his return.
George has proven that he’s capable of carrying the Clippers when necessary since he’s averaging 24.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in his first 13 games this season.

New York Knicks @ Utah Jazz
The Jazz have cooled off after their hot start to the 2022-23 campaign. They’re on a two-game skid after losing to the Wizards and the Sixers over the weekend, so they’re planning to bounce back by staying unbeaten at home.
New York have been bad on the defencive end as they’re 25th in points allowed at 116.8 points per game. Utah are fourth in the league in scoring at 116.9 points per game, so it’s going to be a long night for the Knicks in Salt Lake City.

Brooklyn Nets @ Sacramento Kings
The Nets sans Kyrie Irving will aim to bounce back upon visiting the Kings, who are suddenly on a three-game winning streak.
Brooklyn saw their two-game winning streak slip away in their recent defeat against the Lakers as Anthony Davis exploded for 37 points and 18 rebounds.
The Kings have a similar player in Domantas Sabonis, who is coming off a dominant outing against the Warriors with 26 points and 22 rebounds. De’Aaron Fox is another Kings player to watch out for since he’s averaging 26.8 points per game over his last five.
This is going to be Kevin Durant’s first game against the Kings in a Nets uniform. In his last seven games against them, he posted 30.7 points per game on 54-per cent shooting from the field.

San Antonio Spurs @ Portland Trail Blazers
After defying the SBOTOP NBA 2022 odds with their 5-2 start this season, the Spurs’ unforgiving schedule is seemingly catching up to them.
San Antonio are fresh from a humiliating 132-95 loss against Golden State, and this game at Portland is the second night of their back-to-back.
Portland are led by the trio of Damian Lillard, Jerami Grant, and Anfernee Simons. Given the Spurs’ struggles on the defencive end, these three Blazers should put up many NBA 2022 highlights tomorrow.
