NBA Preview: Zion Williamson Makes His NBA Debut

countdown banner

Many were doubtful that Zion Williamson will make his debut this season after suffering a knee injury. However, after much progress, he will be expected to suit up tomorrow versus the Spurs.

Meanwhile, the Kings and Blazers engaged in a multiplayer trade to where they exchanged a couple of veterans and young prospects.

Here is SBOBET’s preview of tomorrow’s games.

Sacramento Kings @ Detroit Pistons

The new –look Kings will parade their new acquisitions as they try to snap their five-game losing streak. They will face a youth-laden Pistons team who has won two of their last three.

Sacramento are fresh off of tough losses against Utah and Miami while Detroit will kickstart their four-game homestand.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Orlando Magic

The Magic will return to the Amway Arena as they’ll face the resilient Thunder.

Led by Chris Paul, OKC managed to score a comeback victory against the Rockets by scoring a team-high of 28 points.

On the other hand, Orlando annihilated Charlotte last Monday when Terrence Ross sizzled from three-point distance with five treys.

The home team can take advantage of the Thunder especially with the likes of Nerlens Noel and Steven Adams ailing. Their playing statuses are yet to be confirmed as of this writing.

Philadelphia Sixers @ Toronto Raptors

Philly will need more NBA 2020 highlights from Ben Simmons as they visit Toronto tomorrow.

The Raptors, who defeated the Sixers last November, will now field in a healthier roster with returns from Marc Gasol, Fred VanVleet, and Pascal Siakam.

Joel Embiid is not expected to play on this one. However, they still have guys like Al Horford and Tobias Harris to pick up the slack.

Betting tip: Raptors Asian Handicap -6.00 @1.92

Los Angeles Clippers @ Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta will try to improve on their home record as they host the Clippers.

After stringing a couple of wins against Phoenix and San Antonio, Atlanta suffered tough defeats against Detroit and Toronto.

The Clippers, meanwhile, are riding a four-game winning streak.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Boston Celtics

Boston made a huge statement when they routed the Lakers yesterday and they are keen to sustain their momentum against Memphis.

Buoyed by the superb play of Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown, the Celtics will continue to make their run at the Eastern Conference after snapping out of their funk.

Memphis will try to recapture their winning ways after losing at home against the Pelicans.

Betting tip: Celtics Asian Handicap -6.50 @1.92

Washington Wizards @ Miami Heat

The Heat will stake their 19-1 home record as they clash with the Wizards tomorrow.

Miami continued their domination at home after winning in overtime against Sacramento last Monday night. The Heat now leads the league by having the best overtime record at 7-0.

Meanwhile, the Wizards are 5-17 on the road so far, and they recently snapped their three-game skid in a victory against the Pistons.

Mike Conley returns to action for Utah Jazz as they head to the Chase Center to face the Golden State Warriors
Sacramento Kings’ Buddy Hield guards Utah Jazz’s Mike Conley during the second half of the match in Salt Lake City

Los Angeles Lakers @ New York Knicks

The Knicks will try to beat the NBA 2020 odds as they host the Lakers in their final meeting of the season.

New York recently snapped their three-game skid by trouncing Cleveland last Monday while Los Angeles are coming off of a butt-whooping against Boston.

The Lakers will field in a healthier squad after having Anthony Davis back while the Knicks will miss the services of rookie RJ Barrett.

Betting tip: Lakers Asian Handicap -10.50 @1.90

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Chicago Bulls

Two slumping teams in the NBA will lock horns as they try to turn things around.

With identical January records at 3-8, the Timberwolves and the Bulls come in with a huge sense of urgency in their first encounter of the season.

Karl Anthony-Towns has regained his old form while the Bulls have had a hard time in finding another scoring option besides Zach LaVine.

Betting tip: Timberwolves Asian Handicap -1.50 @2.03

Denver Nuggets @ Houston Rockets

Houston are in dire need of a win, especially after coughing up in what should’ve been an easy win against OKC.

The Rockets struggled on both ends of the floor as their defence allowed 41 points in the final quarter and James Harden continued shooting blanks from distance.

On the other hand, Denver have won four of their last five thanks to their shooting and depth.

Michael Porter Jr. continues to have the hot hand for the Nuggets by scoring in double digits in his last five games.

Betting tip: Rockets Asian Handicap -8.50 @2.03

Indiana Pacers @ Phoenix Suns

Indiana are coming off their most lopsided loss of the season and they are keen on bouncing back against Phoenix.

The Pacers saw their winning streak snapped after losing to the formidable Jazz on the road. Meanwhile, the Suns are fresh from a close loss against the Spurs.

Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton will have their hands full in trying to deal with a deep Pacers team.

Betting tip: Pacers Asian Handicap +1.50 @1.85

San Antonio Spurs @ New Orleans Pelicans

The much-awaited debut of Zion Williamson will finally happen tomorrow versus the Spurs, and he is set to play for his home crowd in what should be a sold-out match.

The Pelicans are eager to see on what kind of impact that he’ll bring to the table. They have won 11 of their last 16 since their 13-game losing skid.

San Antonio have gone 14-12 since the middle of November.

Betting tip: Pelicans Asian Handicap -3.50 @1.93

Utah Jazz @ Golden State Warriors

Utah will be eyeing to sweep Golden State in their season series to further solidify their campaign this season.

The Jazz have welcomed Mike Conley back, who is slowly finding his rhythm after sitting out for a long time.

The Warriors currently own the worst record in the NBA at 10-35, which gives them more incentive to play their young guns even more.
