NBA: Lakers and Heat Figure In Finals Rematch

countdown banner

The Heat and the Lakers will clash anew at Staples Center months after they faced off in last season’s NBA Finals.

Los Angeles won their 17th title after six games at the expense of Miami, and they plan on giving their visitors a reminder of such tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Warriors, Kings, Suns, and Wizards are back on the road, while the Spurs-Knicks and Pacers-Rockets games are to be postponed for now.

Four unidentified Spurs are undergoing self-isolation, while the Rockets had to refrain from hosting home matches since the state of Texas is dealing with utility shortages brought about by winter storms.

Read on below as SBOTOP presents tomorrow’s five-game slate.

Golden State Warriors @ Charlotte Hornets

This matchup between Golden State and Charlotte will feature two of the most exciting floor generals in the league today.

Sweet-shooting guard Steph Curry will meet rookie LaMelo Ball for the first time this season, and we can expect tomorrow to be a high-scoring tiff.

Steph Curry has been doing the heavy lifting for the Warriors this season. By averaging 29.9 points per game, he has thrusted himself into the MVP conversation.

He is being supported by Kelly Oubre Jr. And Andrew Wiggins, who are averaging 17.7 and 14.2 points per game.

As for the Hornets, Gordon Hayward leads the way with 22.3 points per game, while Terry Rozier has been on a torrid run as he has gone over 30 points in three straight games.

The presence of rookie big James Wiseman would’ve changed the complexion of this contest. However, he remains out due to a wrist injury.

Nonetheless, the Warriors should have enough firepower to outscore the Hornets.

Betting Tip: Golden State Warriors Asian Handicap -2.50 @ 2.04

Miami Heat @ Los Angeles Lakers

The much-healthier Heat will be tested when they pay a visit to the undermanned Lakers tomorrow.

The returns of Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro are paying dividends, but so far the results have yet to follow for the defending Eastern Conference champions.

After losing three straight against the Warriors, Clippers, and the Jazz, the Heat finally broke their slump with a victory against the Kings.

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo each posted triple-double stat lines, and they may have to do the same against Los Angeles.

Similar to the Heat, the Lakers have no choice but to rely on the heroics of LeBron James.

Head coach Frank Vogel bared that Anthony Davis is out for four weeks due to a lingering Achilles issue, and that puts the Lakers in an uncomfortable position.

Many pundits believe that the next few games will make or break LeBron James’ pursuit of his fifth MVP award. And if the do-it-all forward delivers by his usual standards, his NBA 2021 odds of winning it this year will increase dramatically.

Betting Tip: Los Angeles Lakers Asian Handicap -2.50 @ 1.84

Sacramento Kings @ Chicago Bulls

Losers of five straight, the Kings are looking to end their drought when they visit the Bulls tomorrow.

This will be the second time that they’ll face off this season, and Sacramento are hoping for a replay of their previous matchup.

The Kings won 128-124 last January as Richaun Holmes top-scored with 24 points. However, the energetic big man is doubtful due to a knee concern.

Meanwhile, the Bulls rely heavily on the scoring of Coby White and Zach LaVine, and the two will look to bounce back after struggling in shooting from the field during their last match against the Sixers.

Phoenix Suns @ Memphis Grizzlies

Ja Morant and the young Grizzlies will take on Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and the rest of the Suns in a must-see affair tomorrow.

The Suns have been on the rise as they have gone 8-2 in their last 10 games, while the Grizzlies have been a bit inconsistent.

Chris Paul’s leadership has been instrumental for the young Suns, as Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton have seen an uptick in their performances.

The 35-year-old facilitator recently dished out 19 assists in their triumph over the Pelicans, while Booker and Ayton added 23 and 16 each.

On the other hand, Ja Morant continues to be solid for Memphis and he is getting some strong production from his teammates.

Jonas Valanciunas continues to post double-doubles, while Kyle Anderson has been contributing in the stat sheet as well.

Betting Tip: Phoenix Suns Asian Handicap -3.50 @ 1.95

Washington Wizards @ Portland Trail Blazers

Something has to give as the Wizards head Northwest to visit the Blazers tomorrow.

These two squads have been banging in form as they’re currently riding hot with their respective win streaks.

After a turbulent start to their campaign, the Wizards are now winners of three straight, while the Blazers have gone undefeated in six consecutive times.

This will be a star-studded matchup with All-Stars Bradley Beal and Damian Lillard present, and both are expected to assert their credentials by giving us a ton of NBA 2021 highlights.

Betting Tip: Phoenix Suns Asian Handicap -3.50 @ 1.92
