We have been treated to a nine-game slate in the NBA where we’ve seen the league’s top players racking up video game numbers.
Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George were some of the players who poured in those numbers en route to their respective victories.

Houston Rockets 130-107 Orlando Magic
James Harden still can’t stop scoring as he found his outside stroke against the Orlando Magic.
The leftie All-Star unloaded 54 points including 10 three-pointers while adding seven assists, five rebounds, and two steals. Russell Westbrook added 23 points for good measure.
Houston pulled away in the second canto by mounting a double-digit lead and never looked back.
They were 22-of-39 from three-point range, which is the most by any Magic opponent in franchise history.
Philadelphia Sixers 116-109 New Orleans Pelicans
The Sixers are still undefeated at home as they’ve upended the visiting Pelicans.
Tobias Harris led the charge with 31 points while Ben Simmons added 24 points and 11 rebounds as they survived a late rally by the visitors.
The Pelicans briefly took the lead in the third quarter after trailing by as much as 16 points. However, the Sixers answered back with a 22-11 run to close out the period and retake the lead.
Los Angeles Lakers 113-110 Miami Heat
The Lakers have boosted their NBA 2019 odds of getting the league’s best record by improving to 23-3 with a win against the Heat.
The game went down to the wire as both teams made one clutch play after another. It took a missed Jimmy Butler three late to secure the victory for the Lakers.
That capped off the Lakers’ comeback after being down in double digits in the first half. Anthony Davis and LeBron James combined for 61 points en route to the victory.
Jimmy Butler top-scored for Miami with 23, while Derrick Jones Jr. chipped in 17.
Indiana Pacers 110-100 Atlanta Hawks
Indiana continued its winning ways by defeating Atlanta, and they have improved to a 17-9 win-loss slate.
Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis put out double-double performances to spark the Pacers. At the same time, they were able to limit Trae Young’s usual production.
The Hawks floor general scored 23 points but missed 21 of 30 shots from the field. He previously dropped 49 points in their match last November 29th.
The Pacers put out a strong defensive effort in the final period to where they limited the Hawks to only 17 points.
Charlotte Hornets 83-73 Chicago Bulls
Few nights after Devonte Graham’s career night, the Hornets used their balanced scoring this time to beat the Bulls on the road.
He still led the team in scoring with 16, and he was supported by the likes of Miles Bridges, PJ Washington, Bismack Biyombo, Terry Rozier, and Cody Zeller who all scored in double digits.
Charlotte bounced back after squandering an early 15-point lead. They were able to outrebound Chicago, 60-45, while holding them to only 30-per cent shooting overall.
This game didn’t produce much NBA 2019 highlights as it was the lowest output for both teams this season.
Milwaukee Bucks 127-114 Memphis Grizzlies
Milwaukee kept their winning streak alive with the return of Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The Greek Freak scored 17 of his 37 markers in the fourth quarter to help the Bucks notch their 17th consecutive victory after missing their last game due to a quad tendon soreness.
The Bucks overcame a 43-point outburst by Jaren Jackson Jr., as he almost singlehandedly brought the Grizzlies to a much-needed win.
Khris Middleton added 26 points for Milwaukee, while Eric Bledsoe finished with 12.
Memphis missed the services of Ja Morant due to a sore back.
Utah Jazz 114-106 Golden State Warriors
With all the attention focused on stopping Donovan Mitchell, it was Bojan Bogdanovic who took advantage of helping the Jazz beat the Warriors.
The five-year veteran fired in 32 points and shot 62-per cent from three-point distance, including the go-ahead basket in the final two minutes.
Donovan Mitchell contributed 28 points, while Rudy Gobert notched 15 points and 15 rebounds.
Alec Burks led the Warriors in scoring with 24 points, but the team was missing the services of Draymond Green and Eric Paschall.
Los Angeles Clippers 124-117 Minnesota Timberwolves
Facing the Clippers has always posed a daunting task, especially if Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are coming out to play.
The lethal duo accounted for 88 points total as they held on to outlast the Minnesota Timberwolves.
George and Leonard became the first set of teammates in franchise history to each score at least 40 points. It was the 21st time in NBA history that it happened. Paul George last did it with Russell Westbrook back in OKC last season against Utah.
The Timberwolves were threatening to come back after outscoring the Clippers 36-22 in the final period. However, Los Angeles made some crucial plays down the stretch to seal the deal.
Karl Anthony-Towns poured in 39 points and 12 rebounds for Minnesota, while Andrew Wiggins added 34.
New York Knicks 103-101 Sacramento Kings
The embattled New York Knicks had something to cheer about as they notched their first back-to-back wins for the season.
They did so after trailing by as low as 16 points by mounting a furious rally, days after their overtime win against the Warriors.
Elfrid Payton and Marcus Morris made some key baskets down the stretch as they towed the Knicks to a much-needed win.
Julius Randle tallied 26 points and nine rebounds for New York, while Elfrid Payton scored 16 points off the bench.
Buddy Hield had it going for the Kings with 34 points, but his efforts weren’t enough to bring Sacramento to a win.
