LeBron James may be King, but Victor Oladipo is the Killmonger that threatens the Land.
Sports betting fans were rattled out of their boots after Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Pacers convincingly won against the Cleveland Cavaliers. While there are two other games to bet online on, the second Cavaliers-Pacers game will determine the King’s future.
Will Cleveland bounce back? Or will the power of King James be stripped away?
Indiana Pacers @ Cleveland Cavaliers (April 19, 08:00 GMT +8)
LeBron James showed us why he is king with a great triple-double. However, Kevin Love and the rest of the Cavaliers forgot to show up as the Pacers swept the rug under their feet and killed off their home-court advantage in this series.
We can be sure that LeBron will be playing a lot harder to even the score, but it is now up to Tyronn Lue and the rest of the Cavs roster to limit Oladipo’s impact and make life easier for James.
I think Cleveland will even the series after LeBron makes a statement game at home. While betting on betting on Cleveland -8.00 @ 1.96 is a tempting option, I wouldn’t be so surprised if Oladipo keeps the game close.
Utah Jazz @ Oklahoma City Thunder (April 19, 09:00 GMT +8)
Playoff experience trumped rookie talent as Paul George took over for the Thunder in Game 1. Russell Westbrook did well in providing support with his double-double performance. The Thunder will want to ensure that they secure their home games in order to gain a definite advantage when they visit Salt Lake City.
The Jazz have a lot of adjustments to make in order to bounce back. Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert would have to do a lot of scoring and defending. Ricky Rubio also needs to up his scoring and Joe Ingles needs to keep on threatening the Thunder from deep.
With Mitchell questionable for the coming game, I am not sure if they can mount an upset here. Oklahoma City -4.00 @ 1.96 is the best punt to make for this game.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ Houston Rockets (April 19, 10:30 GMT +8)
The Wolves weren’t able to do anything against Rockets as their three stars combined for a shocking 39 points. Karl-Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butler need to up their scoring game if they want a chance at cracking these Rockets.
However, I’m not sure they can even hold a candle to these Rockets anymore. James Harden scored 44 outrageous points in Game 1, while Chris Paul and Clint Capela were equally amazing on the floor. I find it hard not to see -10.50 @ 2.00 as a steal of a bet.
