These Exciting Stars are the Future of the NBA!

The latest NBA showdown gave live betting fans not only thrilling basketball action but also a glimpse of the future of the league.

Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons continues to excite betting odds as he makes his case for the Rookie of the Year honour, while Milwaukee Bucks rising star Giannis Antetokounmpo is off to an MVP-calibre start and looks poised to take over the NBA.

Elsewhere, young guns like Nikola Jokic, Devin Booker, De’Aaron Fox, and Dejounte Murray also turned the heads of many sports betting experts.

Philadelphia 76ers 97-86 Detroit Pistons

Credit to Joel Embiid for raking 30 points and nine rebounds, but it was his rookie teammate Ben Simmons who took the spotlight as the Sixers beat the Pistons. Simmons continued to impress, recording his first career triple-double with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Oh, and he also joined Oscar Robertson as the only two players to tally double-doubles in their first four games!

Atlanta Hawks 93-104 Miami Heat

Already missing their starting point guard Dennis Schroder, it didn’t help the Hawks that they are playing their second road game in two nights. The Heat took advantage of this to pummel the visitors behind Josh Richardson and Goran Dragic who combined for 40 points.

Memphis Grizzlies 98-90 Houston Rockets

Following their surprise win over the Warriors, the Grizzlies devoured another giant as they snapped the Rockets’ winning streak. Five players scored in double figures for Memphis, led by Marc Gasol who stood tall with 26 points on 53.3 percent shooting.

The Rockets, meanwhile, had Eric Gordon and James Harden scoring 20-plus points, but the team combined to shoot 9-for-38 from three.

Charlotte Hornets 94-103 Milwaukee Bucks

Who’s stopping Giannis Antetokounmpo now? After recording 44 points the last time out, the Greek Freak soared once again to lift the Bucks past the stingy Hornets. Antetokounmpo bagged a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds as Kemba Walker and co. struggled to answer back.

Toronto Raptors 97-101 San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs remain undefeated, thanks in large part to LaMarcus Aldridge who is holding the fort well in the absence of All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard. The 32-year-old wasn’t alone though, as Dejounte Murray and Danny Green provided more scoring punch to help San Antonio counter DeMar DeRozan’s big 28-point game for Toronto.

Golden State Warriors 133-103 Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks did well to keep the game close at halftime, but it was a different story for them come the second half as the Warriors ran riot. Splash Bros. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, along with Kevin Durant, led the Dubs with 75 combined points—more than the total of the Mavs’ starters.

Washington Wizards 109-104 Denver Nuggets

Denver’s Nikola Jokic shrugged off his scoring slump and exploded for 29 points, but it still wasn’t enough to neutralise the Wizards’ starting lineup. Washington’s starters all finished in double figures and made 83 of the team’s total score, with Bradley Beal leading the way with 20.

Sacramento Kings 115-117 Phoenix Suns

Phoenix blew a 22-point lead, though they managed to survive a fourth-quarter charge by Sacramento to get their first win of the season. Mike James’ floater with 14 seconds left gave the Suns the lead for good as they held on to stop the Kings.

Devin Booker was pivotal in the match with 22 points, while James finished with 18. Sacramento, on the other hand, got a boost with Garrett Temple and De’Aaron Fox coming off the bench to score 23 and 19, respectively.
