The NBA brings only three games this Wednesday, but it won’t lack the basketball intensity to quench your live betting thirst with Portland and Dallas in good positions to make a run for the final postseason spot in the Western Conference.
Although online betting pundits believe that Denver have the spot secured, the Blazers and Mavericks are well-geared to make a mockery of their betting tips.
Portland Trail Blazers @ Oklahoma City Thunder (March 8, 09:00 GMT+8)
After the postponement of their match against Minnesota, Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum will be more than determined to narrow Denver’s gap in this game. The rest they got, however, couldn’t come at a better time as they’ll be playing Oklahoma who have lost three in a row now.
Russell Westbrook will be the usual unstoppable triple-double machine he is, but the Blazers are expected to take advantage of the Thunder’s struggling starting unit. It should also help them that they have already defeated Billy Donovan’s team twice this season, though those are both at home.
Los Angeles Lakers @ Dallas Mavericks (March 8, 09:30 GMT+8)
Los Angeles are blatantly tanking this season as they aim to get another key piece in the loaded 2017 draft, so this is a chance for Dallas to get another W and improve their standings in the West.
The acquisition of Nerlens Noel and the trading of their veterans have paid dividends for the Mavs as they have won four of their last five games, and after their terrific display against the Thunder, they still have a legitimate chance of making it to the playoffs – that is if they aspire to do so.
Another easy win might be on the books for Dallas, so pick the Mavs -9.50 for 1.82.
Washington Wizards @ Phoenix Suns (March 8, 10:00 GMT+8)
Washington should make no mistake, Phoenix might be the second-worst team in the West, but they sure know how to pull an upset.
The Suns’ still developing core is a model of inconsistency; however, they shouldn’t be taken lightly especially with the confidence they gained in yesterday’s win over the Celtics. Their defence also showed some flashes of brilliance in that match as they finished with ten blocks and seven steals.
Of course, the Wizards – boasting one of the best starting units in the league – are still the better team, though they will need Bojan Bogdanovic to step up off the bench once again if they want to win comfortably.
I predict this one to be close, that’s why I’ll go with Phoenix +4.00 for 1.88.
